How To Complete the Animacy Method Quest in Avowed

In the game Avowed, following the conclusion of ‘An Untimely End’ quest, you’ll immediately embark on the ‘Animacy Method’ mission. As you descend the Emerald Stair, you’ll come across Yatzli being assaulted by Sporelings at Maxim’s Claw. Offer assistance to her, and she’ll then assign a side task for you. Once that side quest is done, head northwest towards Coastal Farms. Keep an eye out for an Adra Waystone along the way – it serves as a guide, indicating you’re on the correct path.

Continue advancing towards Fior mes Iverno, where Captain Aelfyr of the Steel Garrote awaits as your initial encounter. After speaking with this noble captain, you’ll find Governor Ignassi Vidarro next. Simply follow the crowd noises to locate his Manor. Initially, Vidarro may decline you, but once you mention that you’re working for Ambassador Hylgard, he’s likely to reconsider promptly.

Go to Giatta’s House

The Governor is unwilling to consider animancy, but Giatta will persistently argue that it could aid them in their predicament. After discussing matters with the Governor, make your way to Giatta’s residence located southwest of town, easily identifiable behind Bone and Boar. There, she will request you to converse with the following NPCs:

1. The Mysterious Traveler (found at the local tavern)
2. The Elderly Farmer (on his farm north of town)
3. The Reclusive Scholar (hidden away in the eastern forest)

  • Elia Rossell at the Revenant Farm
  • Ivette and Remi at the docks
  • Monto at the Animancy Workshop in Fior mes Iverno

Speak to the Three NPCs
