With speculation rising about a new Marvel Studios livestream event to announce the remaining cast of ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ some fans think Jennifer Garner’s recent Instagram post might be a clue that she’ll be part of the announcement.
On September 15th, Jennifer Garner posted a series of photos on Instagram showcasing her name or nicknames like “cool mom.” The first picture was a behind-the-scenes shot of her in her Elektra costume. Some fans thought this meant she was reprising the role in *Avengers: Doomsday*, but ComicBookMovie clarified that the director’s chair visible in the photo was labeled “Eleven,” likely Elektra’s secret code name in the *Deadpool & Wolverine* script to keep her appearance a surprise.

Is Jennifer Garner’s Elektra in Avengers: Doomsday?
Even though Stefan Kapičić recently shared a behind-the-scenes photo of his Elektra character over a year after *Deadpool & Wolverine* came out, he hasn’t been officially announced as part of the *Avengers: Doomsday* cast. Currently, Channing Tatum is the only confirmed returning cast member from the 2024 film, reprising his role as Gambit. However, rumors suggest Hugh Jackman, Dafne Keen, and Ryan Reynolds might also appear in *Doomsday*.
Filming is now happening on Doomsday, and directors Joe and Anthony Russo-who directed the previous Avengers films, Infinity War and Endgame-are back at the helm. The movie will bring together several familiar faces from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki.
The new movie will bring Robert Downey Jr. back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is exciting news for fans. But instead of reprising his famous role as Iron Man, he’ll be playing a version of the villain Doctor Doom.
Avengers: Doomsday, the next big movie from Marvel Studios, will arrive in cinemas on December 18, 2026, as the latest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 6.
