In the climactic scene of Endgame, the Avengers devise a strategy to travel back in time, intending to retrieve the Infinity Stones before Thanos seizes control of the universe. Following Avengers: Infinity War, Rocket Raccoon became an integral part of the Avengers team. In previously unseen footage, Rocket learns about the Avengers’ initial fierce encounter with Loki and the Chitauri army, expressing his own surprise and enlightenment regarding the strength and formidability of their first adversaries, which were a daunting challenge even for the inexperienced heroes.

In the 2012’s first Avengers film during the Battle of New York, when the Avengers discuss how they managed to subdue the Chitauri, Rocket sarcastically dismisses them as the “weakest galactic army,” implying their poor standing and causing irritation among his fellow Avengers due to their dismal reputation.

In essence, “Endgame” had a running time of more than three hours, making it quite lengthy. It’s understandable why this specific scene was omitted, but it does suggest how the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) might have evolved if certain elements were introduced earlier. When the Avengers united in 2012, the MCU was still relatively new. Earth’s most powerful heroes encountered Loki and the Chitauri army, which they found to be a formidable adversary.
