As a seasoned player of Cookie Run: Kingdom, I can confidently say that the Avatar of Ruin Master Mode Beast Raid is one heck of a challenge! With my years of gaming under my belt (and a few gray hairs to show for it), I’ve learned a thing or two about tackling these tough raids.

In the latest update, The Shadow of The Destroyer, a challenging Avatar of Ruin Beast Raid has been introduced into Cookie Run Kingdom. This boss battle is known for its intricate mechanics and demands a strategic team composition, well-timed skills, and a dash of good fortune. Although the initial difficulties may seem manageable, the ultimate challenge lies in conquering Master mode. To assist you in overcoming this hurdle, here’s a comprehensive guide on what needs to be done.

How To Unlock Avatar of Ruin Master Mode?

If you immediately jump into the Master mode of the Ruin Beast Raid’s Avatar without any prior attempts, you’ll find it locked. To unlock this challenging mode, you must first complete all the earlier difficulties, ranging from Easy to Expert. Should you encounter trouble finishing any earlier levels, feel free to consult this guide as it offers optimal strategies that prove successful across all difficulty settings.

Furthermore, to tackle these challenging stages, you’ll need a unique artifact known as the ‘Beast Raid: Avatar of Ruin Ticket’. Every six hours, you’ll receive one ticket automatically, or you can purchase up to two extra tickets per day for 400 Crystals each. As a dedicated player, I’m constantly on the lookout for these valuable items!

Best teams for Avatar of Ruin beast raid in Cookie Run Kingdom

In a beast raid, selecting the optimal teams is crucial. You’re allowed to field up to three teams, and can swap among them during battle. Here are the ideal team setups to consider for the Avatar of Ruin boss encounter:

Team 1

Initially, your primary squad ought to feature predominantly Cookies with Fire attributes. This team will serve as your primary damaging force, given that the Avatar of Ruin is susceptible only to Burn penalties and resistant to all others. Here’s a detailed look at the composition of this team:

CookiePriorityReason
Burning Spice CookieEssentialBurning Spice Cookie is a must for the Master mode of Avatar of Ruin. It can consistently inflict burn debuff while dealing high burst damage with its skill.
Tarte Tatin CookieEssentialAnother essential DPS for your team that can excel in dealing with Fire Damage and inflicting Burn debuff.
Cream Ferret CookieEssentialArguably the best support cookie for this mode. It can shield, heal, and buff all your allied cookies to increase the DPS.
Street Urchin CookieReplaceableA good bomber cookie to provide extra burst DPS, that can deal extra damage when supported by Cream Ferret and Burning Spice cookies.
Nutmeg Tiger CookieReplaceableAnother good support cookie that can also provide extra DPS and summon minions to tank damage.

Although the ideal configuration would be the one presented earlier, there are interchangeable options for cookies if you don’t possess some of them. The Cream Unicorn cookie could serve as a replacement for the Nutmeg Tiger since both can offer comparable support to your team.

In much the same vein, you could opt for “Dragon Pitaya” or “Rye Cookie” as replacements for “Street Urchin Cookie”. Regarding treasures, consider adding either “Sleepyhead’s Jelly Watch” or “Squishy Jelly Watch” to the collection.

Team 2

For the composition of your second squad, consider establishing a hybrid Water and Earth cookie team to effectively bypass the Avatar of Ruin’s shield during different stages of the boss encounter. Here is a suggested lineup for your team:

CookiePriorityReason
Burnt Cheese CookieEssentialOne of the most reliable Earth-type frontline cookies that can tank most hits from the Avatar of Ruin while also dishing out decent DPS.
Golden Cheese CookieEssentialA top-tier Earth-type DPS is essentially the core of this lineup. With the right build, she’ll be the one who will break the boss’s shield quickly.
Sea Fairy CookieEssentialThe Sea Fairy is a Water-type bomber who will deal with a ton of water DMG. She excels in dealing with burst damage with her explosive skills.
Mozzarella CookieReplaceableSupport plus magic damage dealer that can buff every Earth-type ally while also dealing decent DPS.
Captain Caviar CookieReplaceableLike the Sea Fairy Cookie, the Captain Caviar Cookie is also here to dish out Water DMG with his burst skills.

You can either equip the Old Pilgrim’s Scroll or the Dream Conductor’s Whistle to this lineup for treasure.

Team 3

The third team you have isn’t as crucial as the first two, but rather acts as a standby option. This is because it could step in if your second team encounters any abilities from the Avatar of Ruin. Here’s a setup idea for this team:

CookiePriorityReason
Fettucine CookieEssentialA sturdy Earth-type defense cookie, that can act as a good alternative like the Burnt Cheese Cookie.
Black Pearl CookieEssentialOne of the strongest Water-type DPS cookies that can deal tons of Water DMG in bursts.
Peppermint CookieEssentialA strong water-type support cookie that can heal all allied cookies while also providing useful buffs like DMG Resist and Debuff Resist.
Snapdragon CookieReplaceableAnother strong support cookie that can increase your team’s ATK, provide healing, and also have a decent DPS.
Mystic Flower CookieReplaceableOne of the best support cookies to have on your team, but the only downside is that she is quite hard to get.

Among the Jelly Watches or the Dream Conductor’s Whistle, either one would make an excellent addition to this collection.

Avatar of Ruin Master Mode Strategy

In the Avatar of Ruin Master Mode Beast Raid, there are two distinct stages. The second stage commences once the boss’s health falls below 50%. Given that each phase necessitates a different approach for successful completion, I’ll outline the steps required for both.

Phase 1

In the initial stage, it’s crucial to inflict most of the damage. At this point, the boss is resistant to all forms of debuffs except for Burn, and it takes an enhanced 250% of base Fire Damage. Given this, I’d advise deploying my Fire-type team first to maximize effectiveness. Once you manage to break the boss’ shield during this phase, two of its paws will emerge.

In battle, the paws sustain higher damage from Water and Earth attacks, so you might need to change to another team member to tackle them effectively. Once you defeat the paws, you’ll need to rapidly tap a few times to shatter their protective shield. Continue this process until the boss’s health falls below 50%.

Phase 2

In the second stage, your boss will deploy abilities that you need to avoid. If not dodged properly, the Ruinous Blade skill has the potential to instantly wipe out your whole team.

Regrettably, the dodge outcome is entirely chance-based, which means you could find yourself needing to redo the run if luck isn’t on your side. However, the good news is that this phase won’t last long, requiring you to dodge at most 2 to 3 times.
