As a big fan of Obsidian, it’s been amazing to see everything they’ve been up to since Microsoft acquired them back in 2018! They’ve consistently released fantastic games like The Outer Worlds, Grounded, and Pentiment. Even while still updating Grounded 2, they’ve been hard at work on Avowed, a new RPG set in the world of Pillars of Eternity. Avowed actually launched really well – especially on Steam, and seemed to sell as expected – but Obsidian didn’t stop there! They kept improving it, and recently celebrated its first anniversary with a huge new update, which is awesome to see.
Pixar is known for making movies that both critics and audiences love, but the COVID-19 pandemic impacted their success. Since the film Onward, Pixar’s movies haven’t performed as well, meaning some truly great films haven’t received the attention they deserve. A prime example is Soul, which many consider to be one of Pixar’s best, yet it remains surprisingly underrated.
