It’s rare for spin-offs to live up to the original show, so if the new ones aren’t huge hits, that wouldn’t be surprising. The original series was incredibly successful – it earned 256 award nominations, won 81 awards, and consistently received a 90% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Matching that level of success is a tall order, like trying to follow in LeBron James’ footsteps as a basketball player. However, anything is possible. Fans are hoping the new shows will be as good as Better Call Saul, and not end up like Suits: LA. Hopefully, the creators won’t overdo it and exhaust the franchise.

I just read that Nick Reiner’s lawyer, Jackson, dropped him as a client right outside the courthouse, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Apparently, Jackson can’t say why he quit the case – something about things being out of his hands. But he did make a very direct statement, and I’m quoting him here because it’s important: ‘Pursuant to the law of California, Nick Reiner is not guilty of murder.’ He wanted that printed, and honestly, as someone who follows these cases closely, that’s a pretty bold thing to say.
