Michael Douse, publishing director at Larian Studios (the creators of Baldur’s Gate 3), responded to a discussion on X (formerly Twitter) by saying that patents like these are often used unfairly. He has since deleted the post, according to GamesRadar.
In an interview with The Direct, producer Roy Lee shared his expectations for the upcoming Sims movie, describing it as potentially “unique.” He explained that initial reactions to the project are reminiscent of those to The Lego Movie – many were skeptical about how a concept like that could work as a live-action film. Just as with Lego Movie, Lee believes people will be surprised and understand the vision once they see the finished Sims movie.
