Matt LeBlanc received a People’s Choice Award for his work on the first season of Joey, which debuted in 2004. The final eight episodes of Joey weren’t broadcast on U.S. television, and after the first season didn’t sell well on DVD, American fans couldn’t even purchase the second season. It took twenty years for fans in the U.S. to finally see how the show ended. As the theme song suggests, life didn’t go as planned, but ultimately, everything worked out.
