In the upcoming crime movie “Enemies,” produced by A24, actors Austin Butler and Jeremy Allen White are set to have a dramatic confrontation. This film is helmed by director Henry Dunham, who has previously worked on “Bushido” and “The Standoff at Sparrow Creek.
On Wednesday, the casting was officially announced, ending weeks of speculation. Here’s the storyline for the upcoming movie: “A tenacious detective crosses paths with an infamous assassin in a lethal game of cat and mouse.” Filming is slated to start in Chicago this coming summer season.
Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen from Square Peg are set to co-produce this project, joining forces with A24 and Alejandro De Leon. Josh Bachove has also signed up for the role of executive producer.
Recently, Oscar-nominated director Butler has teamed up with Aster for their latest project, “Eddington,” produced by A24. Both Butler and Aster will be present at the Cannes Film Festival this Friday for the film’s premiere. The movie, which is being called a modern Western, features an ensemble cast including Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, and Emma Stone. Additionally, Butler is set to appear in “Caught Stealing,” Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming film, alongside Matt Smith, Zoe Kravitz, and Regina King.
Emmy-winning director Allen White is gearing up for the summer release of “The Bear’s” fourth season, while also dedicating more attention to his work in film. This includes the release of the Bruce Springsteen biopic titled “Deliver Me From Nowhere,” due out this year, as well as an upcoming “Star Wars” project called “The Mandalorian and Grogu.
Dunham is managed by Anonymous Content and lawyer Stephen Clark from Lichter, Grossman, Nichols, Feldman, Rogal, Shikora & Clark.
