As a seasoned film enthusiast who has been captivated by countless stories of resilience, triumph, and personal growth, I find myself utterly intrigued by this innovative project titled “Coach.” Having spent years immersed in the world of cinema, I’ve come to appreciate the power of storytelling, especially when it comes from those who have walked the path less traveled.
Audity, a company specializing in audio production under Asylum Entertainment Group’s unscripted media business, has teamed up with WNBA players Kelsey Plum and Aliyah Boston, along with Olympic skiing champion Mikaela Shiffrin, to create a fresh “audio experience” called “Coach.” This project, which is still in the development stage, will be developed alongside the athletes. Unlike a podcast, Coach aims to provide listeners with a variety of customized coaching audio content, offering an exclusive brand experience.
As your mentor, I’ll share inspiring anecdotes and valuable lessons drawn from top-tier athletes, discussing their journeys both on and off the field in terms of performance, mindset, and personal narrative, all delivered through engaging audio content.
“According to Chris Corcoran, General Manager and Chief Content Officer of Audity, Coach is being designed to revolutionize the audio business sector and cater to today’s athletes. I am thrilled and proud to collaborate with Kelsey, Aliyah, and Mikaela, each of whom will strongly embody our vision on all fronts.”
Gold medalist Plum, along with Boston and Shiffrin, will not only produce and refine content but also attract more athlete participants, interact with sponsors, and expand the platform. Additionally, they will serve as coaches within this project.
“Boston, the 2023 WNBA Rookie of the Year and a two-time all-star from the Indiana Fever, expressed that this is an extraordinary chance to motivate the future crop of athletes,” she said. “With Coach, we’re not simply teaching techniques; we’re imparting the mental strength required to conquer obstacles and thrive in the most competitive environments.”

Mikaela Shiffrin, the skier with the most World Cup victories ever, expressed: “There’s nothing quite like this. Recently, Audity has been associated with Kim Kardashian’s criminal justice podcast “The System: The Case of Kevin Keith,” as well as the series “Hillsong: A Megachurch Shattered,” a companion to Discovery+’s “Hillsong: A Megachurch Exposed.” It was announced that Corcoran, who was previously a founding partner and chief content officer at podcast company Cadence13, has now assumed control of Audity.
