Atelier Yumia gets much-needed PC upgrade thanks to fan work

In the realm of alchemical JRPGs, Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land, the latest addition from Gust studio, has just made its entrance on Steam. Despite a decade-long endeavor in creating PC versions of this series, there remains some room for improvement. Regrettably, the newest game is no exception, as demonstrated by its 66% positive rating on Steam. A modder named Lyall has taken it upon themselves to address certain issues plaguing the game.

The outcome of his work is a modified version called AtelierYumiaFix. To start, this project enables users to adjust the resolution at their leisure, ensuring compatibility with all types of monitors, including ultrawide ones. Additionally, interface glitches that occur on these screens have been addressed by the author.

Moreover, he has included options to bypass introductory videos and adjust the Field of View/FOV, thus eliminating the somewhat confined camera feel. Notably, the FOV can be customized independently for exploration and combat scenarios.

A new feature allows you to adjust how far NPCs appear on the screen, and another one lets you turn off the invisible character effects when using photo mode.

As a passionate gamer, I can’t contain my excitement! In just a week, our new game flew off the virtual shelves, smashing records by selling over 300,000 copies. Incredibly, it became the fastest-selling title in the entire series! What a ride it’s been so far!
