Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian releases simultaneously worldwide on September 26

Koei Tecmo and Gust have officially announced that the release date for “Atelier Ruseriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian” is set for September 26. This upcoming RPG will be accessible globally on the same day.

In addition to the main event in the Japanese broadcast, we had the chance to hear the voices of the actors who play the two leading characters from the title. Hina Tachibana will portray Rias Eidreise, while Shunichi Toki takes on the role of Slade Clauslyter.

In a nod to the mobile game Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and Polar Night Liberator, this standalone console game is set in the same Lantarna region and incorporates characters from previous series installments. Characters such as Sophie Neuenmuller, Totooria “Totori” Helmold, Razeluxe “Raze” Meitzen from Mana Khemia 2, and Wilbell Voll-Ersleid from Atelier Ayesha have been confirmed to join the playable party.

In contrast to the new Atelier Yumia, this game will revert back to the classic turn-based combat style that’s a hallmark of the series. Additionally, it will feature a commercial system where Rias and Slade can sell or invest in crafted items to foster the growth of the town, unlike the Nelke spinoff. However, instead of the open-ended town-building found in the spinoff, this game seems to have set locations for development.

Immediately following the conclusion of the Japanese broadcast, Koei Tecmo America unveiled a first-look English trailer (located just below). The Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Key will be accessible globally on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam. Notably, Japan will receive an exclusive release for the PlayStation 4 as well.

Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian transports players into a captivating and comfy exploration, introducing fresh characters Rias Eidreise, an alchemist with knack for adventure, and Slade Clauslyter, a youth gifted in unlocking portals to different dimensions. Together, these duo embark on a mission to unveil the cause of Hallfein’s inhabitants vanishing, while simultaneously seeking traces of their cherished ones and rejuvenating their hometown. Along the way, they encounter numerous individuals who lend aid, among them familiar figures from the Atelier franchise like Sophie Nuenmuller, Razeluxe Meitzen, Totori Helmold, and Wilbell Voll-Ersleid.

In the universe of Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and Polar Night Liberator, this upcoming game titled Atelier takes you to the land of Lantarna. Here, you can traverse various terrains, collect items for synthesis, uncover hidden nooks, and enjoy your adventure whether it’s day or night, or raining or shining. Additionally, delve into multi-tiered dungeons called “Dimensional Paths,” where the layout shifts with each visit, offering you new ingredients to gather and enemies to confront based on the selected difficulty level.

In Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian, strategic battles are combined with turn-based combat. This results in a unique style of time-line command battles where players can assemble a squad of six characters (three at the front and three at the back). By intelligently utilizing action points and weaponry items, players have the power to inflict damage and manipulate the sequence of character turns. Consecutive turns for allies and powerful unite attacks can be activated by this control over the timeline, offering exciting gameplay.

By collecting components found during adventures or battles, Rias can perform “Gift Color Synthesis” to manufacture diverse items. In this synthesis phase, players must match the “Gift Colors” of the ingredients to generate new objects. Additionally, traits can be bestowed or recipes altered based on the materials at hand. The assistance of certain characters will enhance the resulting item even more.

Beyond the usual Atelier gameplay that switches between exploration, battles, and crafting, players will have an additional feature: managing a shop run by Rias. By selling handcrafted items from their synthesis, players can earn money which they can then use to invest in the growth of Hallfein. This investment opens up new recipes and advances the main storyline.
