Assassin’s Creed Syndicate gets surprise update nearly a decade after release

As someone who’s spent countless hours navigating the cobblestone streets of Victorian London in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, I must say, Ubisoft has outdone themselves with this latest update! It’s been a decade since we last roamed the city as Jacob and Evie Frye, and I never thought I’d see a 4K 60FPS upgrade for the game.

Even though over nine years have passed since Assassin’s Creed Syndicate hit the shelves, Ubisoft has recently rolled out an update for this cherished action-adventure title.

It’s not surprising that even games a decade old might still receive regular updates or patches. Enduring titles such as Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto continue to offer fresh content, be it seasonal events, bug corrections, or fresh areas to discover, for their dedicated player base.

Nevertheless, these are typically standard updates for Syndicate, which hasn’t seen significant modifications since its release in 2016. But things are going to be different starting from November 19, as Ubisoft revealed that the game will receive an unexpected update on this date.

On the Ubisoft website, they shared that “Assassin’s Creed Syndicate” will smoothly operate at 60 frames per second on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, starting from November 19. This is made possible by a complimentary update that will be available for consoles.

For those with the latest gaming consoles such as PS5 Pro, PS5, and Xbox Series X, they’ll have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the grandeur of Victorian London in stunning 4K resolution at a smooth 60 frames per second. This means that these players will enjoy a significant visual upgrade compared to those who played nine years ago.

In Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, we’ve already achieved a smooth 60 frames per second on consoles, which means it’s reasonable to expect that upcoming titles like Assassin’s Creed Shadows and future installments will also deliver similar high-quality performance.

As I’m typing this up, Ubisoft hasn’t revealed the complete patch notes yet, but once they do, you can count on us to share them here so that fellow console gamers like myself are well-informed about the new features and enhancements coming our way with the upcoming update.

In the interim, don’t forget to explore everything we’ve learned about Assassin’s Creed: Shadows. This includes the innovative house-building feature reminiscent of The Sims and the game’s expansive map.
