Assassin’s Creed Shadows Patch Adds Quality-Of-Life Updates And PS5 Pro Upgrades This Week

The upcoming major title enhancement for Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been officially announced. This update brings numerous enhancements aimed at improving the overall game experience, boosting performance on the PS5 Pro version, and resolving several bugs. The Title Update 1.0.2 is scheduled to be released on all compatible platforms starting April 8, with downloads becoming available from 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET.

Ubisoft has revealed that they’ve been enhancing games, including an automatic following feature for players when they ride horses. Although this feature was available in some earlier Assassin’s Creed releases, it wasn’t part of Shadows when it debuted in March. Users can activate the pathfinder option to enable the auto-follow to a designated location. The speed of horses within cities has been boosted, but remember to keep an eye on pedestrians to avoid upsetting city officials.

Among the notable additions in this update are:

1. The ability to group and sell/disassemble multiple items in both shops and at the Forge within your Hideout.
2. A feature that allows you to reset Mastery nodes in the skill trees for a fresh start.
3. An easy-to-reach shortcut that takes you directly to the Investigation Board.

If you’re gaming in Performance mode, you’ll now enjoy a smoother experience as the FPS cap on your Hideout has been removed when you enter it.

Owners of the PS5 Pro edition can look forward to an improved game visual experience, as the update will incorporate support for the console’s PSSR upscaling technology. Ubisoft has mentioned that this feature will need to be manually activated if you’ve been playing before the patch installation, and once enabled, ray tracing in performance mode will come closer to the graphics quality seen in the PS5 Pro’s quality mode.

Regarding the bug fixes, they tackle numerous problems that surfaced across multiple missions. Enhancements have been implemented for stealth, combat, AI, and balance as well. The Assassin’s Creed Shadows game is off to a promising start, outperforming all other titles during its debut week in the US and attracting more than three million players thus far.
