According to Circana analyst Mat Piscatella’s post on his Bluesky account, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been the top-selling video game in the US during its initial three weeks on sale. Notably, among games launched in 2025, it ranks second overall, trailing only Monster Hunter Wilds. Before that, the No. 2 spot was held by Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Additionally, Assassin’s Creed Shadows was the most popular game on PlayStation Network during March as well.
As reported by Ubisoft, the game “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” managed to amass 1 million players across all platforms in just one day. This figure quickly rose to 2 million, but it doesn’t always correlate with the number of copies actually sold. At present, “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” is accessible to subscribers of Ubisoft+. Nonetheless, its current high rank on the video game sales charts indicates that many players are not only streaming it but also purchasing it actively.
As a dedicated fan, I must admit that while Shadow has made significant strides, it’s still got quite a journey ahead to match the triumph of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Rumors swirl that Ubisoft might push Shadow towards an even more challenging experience. Recently, they’ve dropped a massive quality-of-life update, complete with PS5 Pro enhancements, further refining the gameplay experience.
