From my perspective as an ardent cat lover, Okishima Island might seem like an ordinary destination at first sight, but upon closer inspection, it’s a hidden paradise teeming with countless charming cats. This idyllic spot is indeed a part of the real world, nestled in Japan. It has earned the nickname “The Town of Cats” due to its feline population that seems almost endless.

On the given map, you’ll spot this island nestled within the Omi province, right smack in the heart of Lake Biwa. To reach there, hop aboard a boat and navigate northwestwards towards Azuchi, continuing your journey until you eventually set foot on the island.

Upon arrival, you’ll find yourself in a feline utopia, filled with many cats, from adult ones to playful kittens. Feel free to interact with Yasuke or Naoe as they pet these felines, and if you wish, consider adopting some of them to make them permanent residents in your hideout.

By establishing them as permanent residents, you’ll ensure they’re readily accessible whenever you need them, making it effortless for you to return to them.

In addition to cats, this location is where “The Wheel Turns” quest takes place in the action adventure game, one of the missions required to romance Lady Oichi.
