In this game, it’s significant to understand that Naoe and Yasuke advance together, meaning if you concentrate on one character, the other won’t lag behind when you switch. The game director mentioned in a blog post that they aim to provide players flexibility to specialize in a particular weapon, playstyle, or character type, while also allowing them to delve deeper into their chosen path. The points you put into a Mastery tree will also grant extra benefits for that weapon or archetype, further enhancing your advancement.

Mastery fundamentally empowers you to customize the path a character takes in its development. However, if at any point you feel unsatisfied with the archetype you’ve crafted, these build configurations can be reverted at your convenience. The points refunded can then be redirected towards various other skills, enabling you to switch up your gameplay approach.

The more advanced your level, the more upgrades you’ll earn for Yasuke and Naoe.
