Assassin’s Creed Shadows Has Reportedly Been Rated For The Switch 2

It appears Ubisoft hasn’t officially announced a Switch 2 version of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, but there’s a possibility that such a port might have been inadvertently revealed by PEGI. A brief mention on the PEGI website seemed to place Nintendo Switch 2 among other platforms for Shadows’ launch, a detail quickly noticed and shared on Reddit.

Eurogamer points out an intriguing discovery: While Assassin’s Creed Shadow’s PEGI rating page mentions only PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, a Redditor noticed that when the game was displayed on the PEGI homepage under the “Most Searched Games” section, it also included Nintendo Switch 2. However, as of now, Shadows is no longer featured in the “Most Searched Games,” leaving us uncertain if the Switch 2 is still part of the game’s listing.

There’s a chance that the existence of the Switch 2 might have been an error from PEGI, but it’s not implausible that Ubisoft could bring Shadows to the Switch 2 given their plans. In fact, they already have one game, Star Wars Outlaws, slated for the Switch 2, and at the recent Star Wars Celebration, Ubisoft announced that it will be available on the Switch 2 as early as September 4.

In the past month, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been launched on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 platforms. It has surpassed Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 to rank as the second largest game release of 2025, with Monster Hunter Wilds taking the top spot.
