Assassin’s Creed: Shadows boasts RDR 2-level attention to detail. On the other side are bugs and enemy AI

Yesterday saw the release of Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, often called Ubisoft’s last chance. While it garnered respectable reviews from critics, it didn’t stand out exceptionally. Its launch on Steam was steady but not particularly remarkable. However, it’s undeniable that the developers have poured significant effort into certain aspects of the game, like the snow effects.

As I delved into my favorite game on X, a fellow gamer shared an immersive gameplay clip showcasing incredibly lifelike snowfall. To my surprise, when the virtual sun emerged, the snow began to melt in real-time, adding a layer of authenticity that was captivating. The video showcased this process at an accelerated pace, allowing us to appreciate the stunning visual impact it had on the game world, making everything seem more lively and vivid.

In a casual and engaging style, This minor aspect might slip past most gamers, yet it’s so well-executed that even Rockstar Games, renowned for their meticulous work, would appreciate it. AC: Shadows, although not as grand as Red Dead Redemption 2, still receives praise from many players who find it a thoughtful touch.

The title struggles with a number of problems players highlight in videos. Bugs cause our character to leap into the sky, while poor enemy AI appears more frequently. However, credit should be given where it’s due: features like snow melting contribute to creating an immersive world atmosphere, and this aspect seems to have been executed effectively.

Assassin’s Creed: Shadows is available on PC, PS5, and XSX/S.
