Asmongold shared an in-depth analysis of his Twitch earnings, revealing what he might have earned if he had run more ads during streams.
For quite some time now, Asmongold has been a significant figure on the streaming platform Twitch. He boasts a massive following of millions and thousands of subscribers spread across his various channels.
In the year 2021, he moved from his primary channel to his secondary account known as Zackrawrr. Though he streamed there almost daily, he chose not to monetize it for three years. However, this all changed in December 2024 when he activated monetization, stating that Twitch had pressured him into it, arguing they were losing money due to the unmonetized channel.
On the 17th of February, 2025, Asmongold disclosed his Twitch income during a live broadcast with Zackrawrr, detailing that he earned a total of $37,001.40 from the 19th of January to the 17th of February.
As a gamer, I glanced at my dashboard to find it boasting an impressive 8,970 subscriptions, along with a total of 187 hours and 30 minutes of streaming under my belt. However, the sight that caught my eye was the mere 1 hour and 38 minutes of ad breaks, averaging roughly 31 seconds of commercial time per hour.

Asmongold refuses to run “constant ads” to boost earnings
10 cents here, 3 cents there, and sometimes as little as 0.16 cents. But getting $9 was unexpected, he exclaimed.
To be completely transparent, the number of ads you see here should ideally be zero. If I were constantly running ads and encouraging subscriptions, that figure would certainly be zero. Frankly, I prefer not to engage in such practices.
In response to his chat’s comment about other streamers running persistent ads, he said, “It seems to me that viewers tune in to this program because they prefer less ad interruptions. They don’t want to spend their time being bombarded by ads.

He commented: “When I come across such situations where someone appears to be earning substantial amounts, phrases like ‘Oh, this person is making a fortune,’ often cross my mind. However, more times than not, I don’t automatically assume it’s a positive development in the long run.

Regardless of that, he added, “Feel free to post numerous advertisements if you wish, but be aware that it has no impact on your viewer count whatsoever. frankly, it’s a topic I have little interest in.
This statement was made shortly after Asmongold shared his reasons for not having entered into a long-term streaming agreement with Twitch or any other platform, and in fact, he stated that he would reject a $1 billion contract offer.
In July 2024, FaZe Lacy publicly disclosed his Twitch earnings, showing that he had earned approximately $58,762 in a single week. This was over $20,000 more than Asmongold’s monthly income, and he also earned an additional $27,253 the following week.
Many other livestreamers have unintentionally revealed their income too. For instance, Ninja shared that he made a total of $142,177 throughout November, while Mizkif disclosed earning $13,168 in a single week during September.
Towards the end of January this year, Shroud disclosed his YouTube and Twitch earnings, indicating that they were less than one might expect.
