Arnold Schwarzenegger, Martha Stewart Cameo in ‘The Britto Doc’ Trailer Ahead of Art Basel Debut

As a movie enthusiast with a keen interest in documentaries that delve deep into the lives of remarkable individuals, I am genuinely excited about “The Britto Doc”. The trailer alone is a vibrant, colorful, and inspiring snapshot of Romero Britto’s journey – from humble beginnings in the slums of Recife, Brazil, to global acclaim as an interdisciplinary art star.

A preview for the upcoming documentary on interdisciplinary artist Romero Britto, titled “Romero Britto: Beyond Art,” was unveiled before its screening at this year’s Art Basel Miami event.

In ‘The Britto Doc’, Britto himself serves as the narrator, with notable cameos by opera sensation Andrea Bocelli, action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger, fashion guru Domenico Dolce, renowned Brazilian soccer player Ronaldinho, and household name Martha Stewart, among others.

The movie delves into the life and career of Britto, showcasing his journey from creating artwork using his mother’s nail polish on discarded materials in the slums of Recife, Brazil, to his pieces being admired and collected worldwide in Miami. Britto’s story exemplifies resilience, determination, and the transformative impact of art. The filmmakers described it as a heartfelt tale that captures Britto’s warmth, optimism, and affection.

In this production, Patrick Moreau takes on the role of director. Meanwhile, Lucas L. C. Vidal, Arthur Morrical, Caitlin Miranda, and Ben Everard assume the positions of executive producers. Furthermore, Grammy Award-winning artist Marc Anthony, DJ Khaled, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, and Chef Daniel Boulud are also set to make appearances in the film.

The film was produced collaboratively by Muse Storytelling and Britto. In Britto’s words, “It’s a privilege for me to have the chance to express my narrative and my fervor for art on such a global scale.” He further added, “I aspire that this movie will motivate others to persevere, remain authentic, maintain optimism, and spread joy.

Britto’s artwork has been displayed in more than 120 nations, such as the Carrousel Du Louvre. He was the first living visual artist to showcase his creations at the Soumaya Museum. In collaboration with Cirque Du Soleil, he helped launch Super Bowl XLI, and he served as the official artist for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
