Arnold Schwarzenegger is hoping to reprise his roles in some of his most famous 1980s films, including Predator, Commando, and Conan the Barbarian.
Okay, so this actor? Total legend. I grew up watching his movies – stuff like The Terminator, True Lies, even the fun ones like Jingle All The Way and Kindergarten Cop. He was HUGE in the 80s and 90s, and honestly, he’s still awesome today. The Running Man and Total Recall were classics, and seriously, the list just goes on and on. You get the picture – this guy defined action movies for a generation.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is best known for playing The Terminator, a role he’s taken on in six films, including recent appearances in 2015’s Terminator: Genisys and 2019’s Terminator: Dark Fate. The last film brought him back on screen with Linda Hamilton, but he has stated he won’t be appearing in any future Terminator movies.
The actor is considering revisiting three famous movie series he’s well-known for: Predator, Commando, and Conan the Barbarian.

Arnold Schwarzenegger recently revealed at the Arnold Sports Festival that he’s discussing a new Predator film with 20th Century Studios, to be directed by Dan Trachtenberg. He also mentioned that scripts are being developed for sequels to both Commando and Conan the Barbarian.
According to TheArnoldFans, after a new ‘Predator’ film was made and well-received, the director approached Arnold Schwarzenegger about appearing in the next one. Fox studios has also expressed renewed interest in working with Schwarzenegger, offering him both a script for a new ‘Predator’ movie and a sequel to ‘Commando’.
Schwarzenegger announced that Christopher McQuarrie, known for his work on the Mission Impossible films, will be writing and directing the next King Conan movie. He also assured fans that while the role will suit his age, he still plans to deliver plenty of action and fight scenes.
The actor hinted at the plot of the upcoming King Conan movie, drawing inspiration from the original Robert E. Howard story. He described a tale of Conan, who after 40 years ruling as king, is overthrown and must fight to reclaim his kingdom. The film will feature the classic Conan elements of action, battles, magic, and mythical creatures.
These days, movies have amazing special effects. The studios have big budgets, so I’m excited to see what they come up with in their upcoming projects.
