Hypergryph and Gryphline have announced a big update, ‘At the Wake of Spring,’ for their free-to-play game Arknights: Endfield on April 17th. The update will be available on PC, mobile devices, and PlayStation 5.
The latest update wraps up the Wuling storyline and introduces a challenging new boss fight, a new character you can play as (Zhuang Fangyi), and improvements to the base-building features. Gryphline, the publisher of Arknights: Endfield, announced today that a free update called ‘At the Wake of Spring’ will launch on April 17, 2026. This update focuses on the Wuling story arc and includes significant story progression, a challenging boss fight, a new playable character, more areas to explore, and improvements to the game’s base-building features.
Trouble is brewing in Wuling! The story kicks off with an urgent message from Zhuang Fangyi after the unexpected arrival of Ardashir near a vital facility called the Marker Stone. Simultaneously, Nefarith is launching a full-scale attack, leading to the first direct confrontation with her as players try to resolve the growing crisis. This update also introduces Zhuang Fangyi as a playable character. She’s a powerful fighter who uses both electric attacks and swordplay.
The ‘At the Wake of Spring’ update adds a new story alongside expanded areas to explore in Wuling. A test area will become available later, letting players help rebuild after a disaster, solve puzzles, and discover more of the region. The update also improves the game’s base-building aspects with a new outpost, resources, and ways to produce items, further combining combat, exploration, and large-scale construction in Arknights: Endfield.
This update brings fresh in-game events, lasting improvements to how the game plays, and a bunch of smaller changes to make progression, fighting, and building easier and more enjoyable. We’ve also added extra rewards for players.
Arknights: Endfield is the newest game in the Arknights series, and it’s free to play! You can play on multiple platforms and carry your progress with you. The game takes place on the planet Talos-II and combines fast-paced squad combat with exploration, character development, and building up your own industrial base – all in a brand new 3D RPG format.
