Ariana Grande and Adam Sandler recently sat down for Variety’s Actors on Actors to chat about their movies, Wicked and Jay Kelly. They also bonded over their love for The Waterboy, discussed how Grande prepared for her Wicked audition, and hinted at their future collaboration on a new film called Focker in-Law.
About eight minutes into the conversation, Sandler mentioned that Grande filmed several takes – six or seven – of the final scene in Wicked, and each one required her to convincingly portray intense emotion and tears.
The viral clip occurs around the 8 minute and 18 second mark
