As a dedicated fan of both Arcane and Outer Banks, I must admit that this battle for supremacy on Netflix has left me torn. On one hand, I eagerly awaited the release of Arcane Season 2, a testament to six years of meticulous work by Fortiche and Riot Games. The anticipation was palpable, and the first chapter was nothing short of phenomenal.

Following a much-anticipated premiere, Arcane Season 2 swiftly climbed to number one on Netflix’s Top 10 TV Shows list. Yet, it has now been surpassed by the latest installment of Outer Banks Season 4.

It’s possible that you’d find it unexpected, considering the enormous excitement leading up to Arcane Season 2, as it concludes the story of Piltover and Zaun to pave the way for fresh League of Legends tales.

In the initial stages, the first season of the animated show required a span of six years to be fully produced. Subsequently, an extra three years were spent on the second season, during which Fortiche and Riot Games worked diligently to maintain the high standards of artistic quality, storytelling, and character development that the series is recognized for.

Yet, it’s worth noting that Arcane Season 2 briefly took the top spot due to a higher demand for Outer Banks Season 4, resulting in increased viewing minutes.

So far, only the first segment of Arcane Season 2 has been made available, debuting on November 9 and featuring three 35-minute episodes. In contrast, Outer Banks has released all ten episodes of its fourth season at once, each lasting 45 minutes for a full binge-watching experience.

Essentially, it’s all about the numbers, so there’s no need to feel down about Arcane not receiving as much attention as it should. Rest assured, it will undoubtedly remain popular on Netflix in the coming weeks.
