Embark Studios shared some interesting early data for ARC Raiders, noting that a surprisingly large number of players have all been exploring the same map.
ARC Raiders features several different maps designed for relatively quick play sessions. The game emphasizes risk and reward – players have a limited time to collect equipment, battle enemies, and escape safely. Each map offers a unique environment; for example, The Blue Gate is located high in the mountains and provides limited cover in the form of a few scattered villages.
ARC Raiders has quickly become popular, with over 700,000 people playing at the same time on Steam. The game’s developer, Embark Studios, shared on Twitter (now X) that players are overwhelmingly favoring one particular map over all others.
Millions Of ARC Raiders Players Have Visited Stella Mortis
Players have explored the Stella Mortis map in ARC Raiders more than 25 million times, according to Embark Studios. This newest map is a former research facility that held dangerous secrets, and it might contain the solution to finally defeat the ARCs.
Embark Studios announced that players have defeated over 25,000 Matriarchs, the game’s huge, spider-like enemies. These powerful enemies require teamwork to defeat, and the high number of takedowns proves players are happy to cooperate when it benefits them.
It’s disappointing that ARC Raiders didn’t receive more recognition at The Game Awards, only getting one nomination despite being one of the best multiplayer games released this year. The game’s success and positive reception from players proves that Embark Studios is on the right track with their live-service approach.
