Okay, so I’ve been checking out Arc Raiders, and it’s a tough game! You can play it by yourself, but honestly, the world is pretty brutal, and going solo makes it even harder. The enemies are dangerous, and other players are running around just waiting to ambush you and take everything you’ve collected. Having a solid team definitely makes escaping with your loot a lot easier. But here’s the big question: what if your friends play on different systems? I’ve been digging into whether ARC Raiders has cross-play and cross-progression to see if we can all team up regardless of what we’re playing on.
Does Arc Raiders have cross-play?
Good news if you want to play Arc Raiders with friends on different devices! The game supports cross-play on all platforms, meaning you can team up with friends no matter what they’re playing on. To add them, find their unique Embark ID in the Friends menu and enter it. Just make sure to include the four numbers at the end of the ID!

Cross-play is automatically turned on, so you can start playing with friends on other platforms right away! If you prefer to play only with people on the same platform as you, you can turn cross-play off in the game’s settings. Go to Settings > Gameplay > Cross-play and switch it off. Keep in mind that if you want to play with friends on different platforms again, you’ll need to re-enable it.
When you’re ready to play with your friends, be sure to check out our Arc Raiders tips to help you along the way.
Does Arc Raiders have cross-progression?
Great news for players of ARC Raiders: your progress will carry over no matter which platform you play on! Thanks to full cross-progression, you can start a game on PlayStation 5 and then continue right where you left off on PC or Xbox, as long as you’re using the same Embark account.
Just a heads-up: if you want to play this game on more than one system, you’ll need to buy it separately for each one. For example, if you already own it on PlayStation 5 and want to play on PC or Xbox, you’ll need to purchase another copy, costing around $40. The good news is you can switch between platforms whenever you like without losing your saved game.
