As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for intriguing narratives and immersive worlds, I can’t help but feel a shiver of anticipation at the announcement of Project Kizuna. With the pedigree of key staff members from Aquaplus, particularly those who have worked on the captivating Utawarerumono series, it’s clear that this new RPG is bound to be something special.
At the second day of the Aquaplus Festival -30th Anniversary- event, Aquaplus unveiled a fresh RPG project. While there’s been a lot of buzz about new titles from established series such as a 3D remake of ToHeart visual novel and yesterday’s Utawarerumono: Shiro he no Michishirube, this new project is set to introduce an entirely unique RPG experience. For now, it’s being referred to as Project Kizuna.
A significant number of essential team members for this project have previously collaborated on Aquaplus’ previous game titles. The company’s COO, Naoya Shimokawa, is overseeing this project as its producer. Munemitsu Suga handles the scriptwriting, while Tatsuki Amaduyu and Misato Mitsumi are responsible for character designs—all of whom have also contributed to the Utawarerumono series in the past.
As a gamer, I’m thrilled to announce that Kengo Uchibori is joining our team as the project director! His most recognized work includes directing I Am Setsuna from Square Enix and Tokyo RPG Factory, but he’s also worked on the less-famous 2017 action RPG Goken outside of Square Enix. This addition to our staff promises some exciting developments ahead!
In their final statement regarding Project Kizuna, Aquaplus unveiled a piece of artwork depicting their upcoming RPG. As of now, specifics about its launch date and the platforms it will be available on have not been disclosed.
