Approximately four weeks have passed since Peak was released, and within its first seven days, it managed to sell over one million copies – an impressive feat for a game created in just a month. In those same first few days, it also surpassed 102,000 simultaneous players. As stated by co-developer Aggro Crab, this record was broken again shortly after. Over the weekend, as per SteamDB reports, the game managed an unprecedented peak of approximately 114,500 concurrent players. For a point of reference, another game developed by a partner studio, Landfall (specifically Content Warning, which falls into the niche genre of humorous cooperative games) saw a peak of over 204,000 players upon its release. Notably, Content Warning was free at launch, so this achievement by Peaks should not be underestimated.

Last week, the game underwent an update aimed at fixing some bugs; however, unforeseen issues arose as a result, necessitating a reversal of the update. Currently, the primary focus for developers is addressing these bugs and ensuring stability. In a Steam post last month, they hinted at potential updates, but did not provide specifics about what those might entail. Additionally, it was made clear that new content may not be introduced immediately.
