Apple TV’s Hit Sci-Fi Drama Series With 89% RT Score Receives Exciting Season 3 Update

Apple TV+ has stealthily joined the streaming service arena with a lineup of critically praised productions such as “The Morning Show”, “Severance” and “Ted Lasso”. In 2023, it debuted the sci-fi dystopian drama series that garnered popularity.

In a new twist, Silo stars Rebecca Ferguson as an engineer who finds herself entangled in the enigmas of both past and present. The series resumed for its second season in 2024, and Apple TV+ swiftly renewed it not just for Season 3, but also for Season 4, which would mark its conclusion. Recently, Apple TV+ has delighted fans with some exciting news: Production on Silo Season 3 has officially been completed.

The sci-fi series on Apple TV+ is inspired by the Silo trilogy of novels written by Hugh Howey. Graham Yost transformed these books for television, but the process took quite some time to materialize. Initially conceived as a film adaptation of the first book, Wool, in 2012, it got stuck in development limbo for a while. Eventually, Apple TV+ acquired the project in May 2021 and turned it into a series.

Unlike most other shows, Apple TV+ has consistently managed to keep viewers engaged since its launch on May 5, 2023. A year and a half later, on Nov. 15, 2024, season 2 made its appearance.
