Anthony Jeselnik Sets Netflix Comedy Special ‘Bones and All’ to Debut in November

As a seasoned cinephile who’s witnessed the evolution of comedy through the decades, I must say that Anthony Jeselnik‘s latest stand-up special “Bones and All” is a highly anticipated event on my calendar. His unique brand of dark humor has always been a breath of fresh air in an industry often oversaturated with predictable jokes.

Anthony Jeselnik is set to return to Netflix with another dose of his darkly humorous stand-up, titled “Bones and All.” This fresh act will be available for streaming starting November 26th.

Jeselnik’s third stand-up special for Netflix was filmed while he was on his global “Bones and All” tour, with a stop in Los Angeles on May 10, during the Netflix Is a Joke festival.

This original production is helmed by Bill Benz, who’s also known for “The Nowhere Inn” and “Twisted Metal.” It’s brought to you by Above Average Productions, a comedy-focused content provider that originated from Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video. The executive producers on this project are Jeselnik, Christie Smith, Ally Engelberg, and Marc Lieberman.

In simple terms, the official synopsis from Netflix for this special is that “Anthony Jeselnik marks two decades of crafting sharp, provocative humor with his latest stand-up show titled ‘Bones and All’.

Five years have passed since Jeselnik’s last Netflix comedy hour, released in 2019 as “Fire in the Maternity Ward.” His initial Netflix special was “Thoughts and Prayers,” launched in 2015. Prior to partnering with the streaming service, he produced the 2013 special “Caligula” through Comedy Central, which followed his 2010 comedy album “Shakespeare,” distributed by Comedy Central Records.

Presently, Anthony Jeselnik co-hosts “The Jeselnik and Rosenthal Vanity Project” podcast alongside Gregg Rosenthal. Prior to this, he developed, produced, and hosted Comedy Central’s chat shows “The Jeselnik Offensive” and “Good Talk.” He has featured in numerous flagship roasts on the network, such as those of Donald Trump and Charlie Sheen. Earlier in his career, he served as a writer for “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,” making an on-screen appearance as the first stand-up comedian for the talk series.
