Exciting news is coming out of CinemaCon about the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie. Attendees got a sneak peek at a new trailer showing Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, fighting Robert Downey Jr.’s character, Victor Von Doom. It also featured a scene of Professor Charles Xavier, portrayed by Sir Patrick Stewart, seeing a strange event unfold at the X-Mansion. But CinemaCon isn’t the only place people are talking about what promises to be the biggest movie ever.
New versions are currently being created, inspired by recent updates shared by actress Kathryn Newton, known for playing Cassie Lang in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
Newton announced on Instagram that she will be back for Avengers: Doomsday, revealing the news with a special prop to build excitement.
The reveal was really impressive and perfectly suited Newton’s role within the Marvel universe.

“So guys, I’m on set right now, and I don’t know where this package came from, but it must be important and it’s very rare to get a package,” she said. “I’m gonna open it because it might be something cool and it might be something special. Hmm — Fragile Handle With Care. This is special. Wow. Can you guess what it is? Avengers: Doomsday, coming soon!”
She then takes a chair from a box labeled with her name and “Avengers: Doomsday,” which confirms she’ll be returning as Cassie Lang—the daughter of Ant-Man (Paul Rudd)—in the upcoming Marvel movie, set to release in theaters in December 2026.
Cassie Lang will likely gain some abilities similar to her father and Hope Van Dyne (the Wasp), as suggested by the small size of a chair seen on set and confirmed by actress Kathryn Newton herself.
“[The chair is] tiny because Cassie Lang gets tiny,” she says.
