As a seasoned movie buff with over three decades of binge-watching under my belt, I must say that the announcement of “Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches” Season 2 is like a delicious dessert at the end of a long, suspenseful feast. The anticipation has been building since its premiere in early 2023, and now, finally, we have a release date!
The second season of “Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches,” produced by AMC, is set to premiere on January 5, 2025, as confirmed at New York Comic Con. After a hiatus since its last airing in February 2023, the series will once again be available for viewing on both AMC and AMC+ streaming platforms.
At the New York Comic-Con event, the panel for “Mayfair Witches” was attended by executive producer Mark Johnson, showrunner Esta Spalding, along with cast members Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa, and Alyssa Jirrels. The panel also provided an exclusive first look at the Season 2 premiere episode.
The show belongs to AMC’s labeled collection known as “Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe,” which also includes “Interview with the Vampire” and an upcoming series titled “The Talamasca,” featuring Elizabeth McGovern, Nicholas Denton, and William Fichtner.
The TV series ‘Mayfair Witches’ follows the storyline of Rice’s ‘Lives of the Mayfair Witches.’ According to AMC, Season 2 explores Rowan Mayfair’s (Alexandra Daddario) journey following the birth of the demon Lasher (Jack Huston). As she grapples with determining whether he is human or monster, Rowan seeks to harness his powers for her healing abilities. However, when misfortune befalls her family, she must set aside her personal ambitions and focus on safeguarding them instead.
