Anne Hathaway Reveals First Devil Wears Prada 2 Costume, Now Give Me Another Fashion Montage

The film adaptation of “The Devil Wears Prada” has been incredibly successful and is often considered one of Anne Hathaway’s finest performances. Consequently, fans were overjoyed when it was announced that a long-awaited sequel was in the works, featuring both Meryl Streep and Hathaway reprising their roles. Recently, Hathaway provided a sneak peek at Andy Sachs’ return, and I can’t wait for another fashion-focused scene.

What we know about The Devil Wars Prada 2 is limited, but fans were sold thanks to its returning actors. On top of the story, moviegoers are hyped to see the fits of fashion in the follow-up movie. We all remember Andy’ fashion montage to Madonna’s “Vogue” in the original, and Hathaway posted on Instagram revealing one of her many looks for the sequel. Check it out below:

Wow, isn’t that stunning? Hathaway is absolutely elegant in this ensemble, reminding me of the fashion sense she picked up while working at Runway for all those years. I can’t wait to find out what Stanley Tucci’s character Nigel would say about this outfit. Let’s hope there’s lots of his commentary in the upcoming sequel.

The ensemble for The Devil Wears Prada 2 is gradually forming with several well-known actors from the initial movie reprising their roles. Although the sequel’s plot remains unknown, there’s definitely an increasing buzz surrounding it. With Meryl Streep returning as Miranda Priestly, I have a strong feeling that the internet will go abuzz once the film is released.

Watch “The Devil Wears Prada” on Disney+ right now! Their new ad-supported plan starts at just $9.99 per month, but you can also opt for an ad-free experience for $15.99 monthly or enjoy a 16% discount when you pre-pay $159.99 annually. Check it out today! [View Deal]

The classic film initially released in 2006, now available on Disney+, continues to resonate with memorable lines and timeless appeal. With two sequel books already out, it’s likely we can draw inspiration from the original source. However, given the returning talents of Hathaway, Streep, Tucci, and Blunt, I wouldn’t be shocked if a fresh narrative emerged, offering an ideal platform for these esteemed actors to shine once more.

Instead, unlike in the original film, several members of the cast from “The Devil Wears Prada” may not reappear for the sequel. Notably missing is Adrian Grenier’s character, Nate Cooper, who was arguably the main antagonist. However, there are some intriguing new additions to the growing series, including Conrad Ricamora, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, and Kenneth Branagh, who will portray Miranda’s new husband in the upcoming film.

Filming for “The Devil Wears Prada 2” started on June 30th, which means they’re approximately a month into production. Consequently, it’s likely that Anne Hathaway has already donned numerous stunning outfits for the fashion-centric sequel. I can’t wait to catch a glimpse of Miranda Priestly ahead of schedule.

As a die-hard cinephile, I can hardly contain my excitement as the day approaches when The Devil Wears Prada 2 graces our cinemas on May 1st, 2026. Though it’s not listed among the 2025 releases, we fans must exercise a little patience and trust that the creative team will share more tantalizing glimpses of this highly-anticipated sequel soon.
