From a diehard fan’s perspective, “In Episode 7 of Invincible Season 3, we dive into the epic ‘Invincible War’ storyline from the comics. This time, Angstrom Levy unleashes a cataclysmic wave of Mark Graysons from different universes onto our Earth! If the show stays true to its roots, it seems like trouble is brewing for Levy, as the original comic arc doesn’t exactly paint a rosy picture for him.
In the second season, we were introduced to Angstrom Levy. Initially, he didn’t appear as a villain; rather, he sought to utilize his power to traverse different dimensions in order to gather all the wisdom from his alternate selves with the ultimate goal of saving countless lives.
Regrettably, following intervention from Invincible, he becomes horribly disfigured and altered, despite Angstrom halting his process with the intention of saving Mark’s life. Overwhelmed by recollections from various realities, he spends the rest of his days seeking retribution.
In the sixth episode, he reappeared, amassing almost twenty corrupt versions of Mark Grayson, which proved detrimental. The seventh episode sees his confrontation with Invincible once more; beware, the events that unfold in the comics are about to unfold here, and there will be significant spoilers ahead, as you might expect.
What happens to Angstrom Levy in the Invincible comics after Episode 7?
After being unable to overcome Invincible, Angstrom attempts to escape into another dimension, but Mark catches hold of him and tears off his arm before they both plunge through the portal. Desperate, Angstrom pleads with the Engineers (the enigmatic beings who previously saved him from certain death at Mark’s hands) to heal him, but they refuse.
You made commitments, Angstrom Levy. We relied on your promises, and the agreement was broken. There will be no more opportunities for you. You are no longer in a position to issue orders. Now, you serve us.
In Issue #60, Angstrom’s fate unfolds, and it isn’t until Issue #65 that he reappears in the comics, having received a replacement arm from the Engineers. They clarify that “you have directly observed the consequences of our ambitions on this world.

Invincible Season 3 Episode 6 worries fans with ‘funeral’ but there’s a simple explanation
Given what we’ve had to endure to survive here, why would you assume we’d choose to remain? That’s just the start of what we expect from you.” This version aims to simplify and clarify the original sentence while maintaining its meaning.
Angstrom Levy suffers until his death
In Issue #98, we skip ahead to the “Death of Everyone” storyline, where the Technicians facilitate Angstrom’s return to the primary timeline. For a moment, Angstrom thinks Invincible is dead (this will be revealed later). However, when it turns out that Invincible is still alive, Angstrom renews his quest for vengeance and sends Mark back to the desolate, post-apocalyptic dimension where he had previously been stranded.
In summary, Mark encounters the survivors left from the Invincible War, eventually joining forces with one sporting a mohawk. Simultaneously, Eve successfully persuades Ansgtrom to change his ways. However, when Ansgtrom creates a portal for Mark’s return, his counterpart rushes through and attempts to kill him instead.
Angstrom apologizes and reopens a gateway for the other entity, but he doesn’t show much leniency. He takes Angstrom with him, and Robot finds a solution so that Mark can go to the same dimension to check if Angstrom is still alive.
When Mark locates him, he’s bound and mutilated, giving an impression of a clash with Xenobites. The all-powerful variant, who is also the Emperor in this universe, confirms: “I told you I knew how to manage his type here.
He pledged aid to help me grow my domain across multiple realms. However, when I attempted to coerce him into working with me, it failed. Instead, he spoke of a sudden sense of duty or accountability.
Right now, my team is trying to remove something from him… somehow… I’m just keeping him alive until they figure it out.
In the end, Robot puts him out of his misery – as for why, that’s a story for another day.
