The Philadelphia Phillies fan, well-known for his anger after a home run ball was taken by another spectator, has become the target of playful ridicule from a professional sports team.
Attending a live baseball game and managing to get hold of the ball used during the match is a cherished aspiration for many sports enthusiasts. Whether it’s snagged from batting practice, caught in play as a foul ball or home run, or even thrown by a coach, the thrill of owning such a souvenir never fades.
On September 5th, during the match between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Miami Marlins, Drew Feltwell believed he was fulfilling a dream for his son, Lincoln. The father managed to catch a home run ball close to them and handed it over to his son’s glove, but encountered an upset spectator who asserted that the ball actually belonged to her.
Feltwell returned the ball to a lady, later called “Phillies Karen” on social media, as he desired for her to leave.

The buzz on social media remains uncontainable, and it’s even seeped into the realm of the Savannah Bananas, a team that has playfully poked fun at these digital exchanges.
During our September 7 match, as part of an in-game stunt, our team attempted a playful jab at a woman spectator. One of our outfielders launched a ball into the stands, which the excited fans snatched and held in their gloves – much like how Drew once did for Lincoln.
At the Bananas game, the spectators found themselves face-to-face with the Grinch, who sternly requested that they surrender it. In the end, their sought-after item was taken by the Grinch, leaving the spectators displeased. Yet, this situation sparked a wave of laughter among others.
During the Bananas game, the spectators were met with The Grinch who demanded they give up something. Ultimately, he succeeded in obtaining it, causing dissatisfaction among the spectators. However, the event brought amusement to many others.

One spectator found it extremely amusing, commenting, ‘That’s absolutely hilarious.’ Another remarked, ‘She’ll likely regret attending that game now…’ A third quipped, ‘I wonder if she realizes the price of kindness – it can be far more rewarding than getting a ball.’
In response to reports, Feltwell decided to speak up about the incident, revealing that he returned the ball merely to get the woman to retreat and stop bothering his family.
