More than three decades have passed since Leslie Nielsen brought laughter to audiences with the first “Naked Gun” movie. After starring in three sequels, the franchise is now returning, featuring Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson as the main characters. The new promotional campaign for “Naked Gun” promises a lighthearted, energetic feel reminiscent of the original film. In expressing his delight about the legacy sequel, Brooklyn Nine-Nine star expressed some heartfelt feelings about what he cherished so dearly about it.

On numerous occasions, I’ve encountered it, and it never fails to amuse me. Both Liam Neeson and Pam are incredibly witty, while the writing trio of Akiva, Kiv, and Dan have done an exceptional job. This production is nothing short of delightful, and I truly recommend everyone to catch it.

This new studio comedy film is one of the most exhilarating in recent years, but it’s not Jorma Taccone’s first time directing a movie. He’s known for helming “Hot Rod” and “Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping,” both starring Andy Samberg. Moreover, he has experience in television direction, having directed episodes of “I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” Given his comedic talent as a performer, Taccone is an ideal choice to direct “The Naked Gun,” and judging by the positive feedback, Samberg seems to concur.
