Max unveiled the formal preview for “And Just Like That” Season 3, set to premiere on May 29th, exclusively via the streaming service.
In the final episode of “And Just Like That”, which was broadcast in August 2023, Sarah Jessica Parker’s character Carrie Bradshaw was seen ordering a Cosmopolitan on a Greek beach. Excitingly, Max has now revealed the release date for Season 3 and shared a sneak peek of what’s to come in the upcoming season.
Towards the conclusion of the second season, Carrie opted to relinquish her famous Upper East Side residence from “Sex and the City,” where she resided in the first season of “And Just Like That” following her husband Big’s (Chris Noth) demise. Before settling at Gramercy Park, she hosted a farewell dinner party at the apartment, bidding a temporary adieu to Aidan (John Corbett), who had asked for her patience (for five years!) while he tended to his children in Virginia. Meanwhile, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) secured a new position at Human Rights Watch, and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) decided to rejoin the workforce since her children are more independent now, landing a job at an art gallery.
In the upcoming Season 3 of “And Just Like That,” I’m sad to say that the cast will have a slightly altered feel. Unfortunately, Karen Pittman, the talented actress who brought Miranda’s professor and friend Nya Wallace to life, had to part ways with the show due to scheduling conflicts before production even began. Additionally, Sara Ramírez, who breathed life into the love-to-hate character, comedian Che Diaz, decided to move on from the series as reported by EbMaster in February 2024.
Without a doubt, Season 3 of “And Just Like That” is bound to spark plenty of discussion, much like it has done since its debut on Max towards the end of 2021. In an exclusive conversation about the Season 2 finale with EbMaster, showrunner Michael Patrick King admitted that he finds viewers’ reactions to the series quite entertaining.
King explained, “The cosmos we’re observing has an incredibly lively love-hate relationship – it’s both amusing and aggressive. It’s like being on a roller coaster; we’re scared one moment, excited the next, and then back to fear again. But that’s what makes it alive! It’s not stagnant or repetitive: It’s evolving, offering us things we either adore or dislike. And it’s fascinating to be a part of something so deeply personal to people.
