At the glamorous premiere of the John Wick spin-off, Ballerina, Ana de Armas and her luminous cast stole the spotlight, dressed in high fashion. Their outfits sparkled more brightly than a mirrored jewelry box, making even a Swarovski showroom seem dull by comparison. The women of this action movie looked fabulous, with their gowns featuring tulle and shimmer, perfectly embodying the term “En Pointe”.
In one image from the event, which you can see below, de Armas was front and center, dazzling in a lavender, body-hugging gown drenched in sequins. Her look struck the perfect balance between classic Hollywood and cold-blooded assassin, very much in tune with the character’s lethal grace in her 2025 movie release. Her cascading waves and understated glam, which she shared a closer look at on her Instagram account, gave her the poise of a prima ballerina and the firey visage of a woman you do not want to cross.
Catalina Sandino Moreno (far left) became part of the ballet costume group in this production. Her ivory gown, sparkling with crystals, moved gracefully like silk fabric. The specifics of the plot are being kept secret, but one point is certain: Moreno’s character plays a crucial role, as her prominent appearance on the red carpet suggests.
Victoria Comte, the actress to the right of de Armas, captivates the audience as she plays the younger version of de Arma’s character. Dressed in a frosted-tulle gown resembling a fairy tale, she grabs attention. Yet, her assertive posture underscores that this narrative focuses on resilient characters rather than damsels in distress. It’s evident that Young Eve is under the skillful acting guidance.
Later, there was Anjelica Huston, a standout figure, who donned a no-nonsense black suit that exuded strength and precision. Unlike the other women who swayed in flowing garments and sparkled, Huston remained steadfast and authoritative, similar to the ballet director of this orchestra of violence and retribution. Her aura, both on screen and at red carpet events, reeks of unquestionable weight—no need for dance twirls.
In the film, Keanu Reeves, playing John Wick again, showed up as suave as ever in a sleek dark suit and tie. On-screen, Wick was seen dancing with Eve amidst an intense gunfight hinted at in the trailer. Behind the scenes, Reeves exuded the tranquil power of a seasoned ballet dancer, or a danseur noble – someone who’s survived all four acts and remains standing.

The remaining talented cast of Ballerina, comprising Norman Reedus, Ian McShane, and Gabriel Byrne, significantly bolstered the production. Reedus and McShane adhered to a John Wick-inspired style, predominantly donning black ensembles, with McShane accessorizing smartly in a deep purple undershirt. On the other hand, Byrne injected a soft touch of uniqueness with a subdued teal suit, subtly introducing a dash of color without detracting from the film’s noir atmosphere. Collectively, they formed an impressive supporting troupe both on stage and undoubtedly at the box office when the movie is released.
The newest addition to the growing John Wick universe is titled “Ballerina.” Previously, the prequel series “The Continental” was released, which can be streamed with a Peacock subscription. Recently, it was disclosed that additional captivating projects within the franchise are also being worked on.
If you haven’t watched “The Continental”, that’s alright as even cast member Ian Shane hasn’t seen it. He decided not to watch due to his disagreement with how his character was presented. Luckily, there’s no need to catch up on the series before enjoying the Ana de Armas-led film when it hits theaters everywhere on June 6th.
