Amy Poehler’s new comedy podcast has climbed up Spotify’s rankings, pushing Joe Rogan off the top spot for most-listened-to comedy shows.
For a while now, The Joe Rogan Experience, Joe Rogan’s extensive podcast, has consistently held the top position in Spotify’s most listened-to podcast rankings. However, every so often, another show manages to dethrone it from the number one spot.
As a dedicated gamer, I can’t help but share some exciting news from the world of podcasts. Back in February, motivational speaker Mel Robbins snatched the crown from JRE, becoming the most popular podcaster! This shift came hot on the heels of Shawn Ryan, a previous guest, who had also claimed the throne with his own show just weeks prior. It’s truly fascinating to see how quickly the podcast landscape can evolve!
On Friday, March 21st, Joe Rogan lost his crown once more – this time in the ranking of popular comedy podcasts.
Amy Poehler’s new show dethrones JRE as top podcast
Back in February, it was initially unveiled; however, starting from Tuesday, March 18th, the debut of comedian Amy Poehler’s latest show, ‘Good Hang with Amy Poehler’, officially commenced. Fans swiftly rushed to the platform where the episodes were being aired.
Weekly, Amy chats with celebrities and entertaining personalities to discuss their professional journeys, as well as the humor that they find amusing.
The podcast’s description on Spotify states that it’s not aimed at improving you or providing guidance, but rather, Amy intends for it to be enjoyable.
In her initial two shows, she’s joined by comedy veterans Tina Fey and Martin Short, with whom she previously worked on Saturday Night Live.
As a devoted listener, I must say that when it comes to the cream of the crop in Spotify’s comedy podcast charts, I find myself enjoying Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) in the runner-up position. Nipping at its heels are Theo Von’s appearances on JRE, Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy, and Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast.
Among all types of podcasts available, Amy Poehler’s new series has claimed the number one position overall on the app. This achievement bumped Joe Rogan down to third place, making him the third most popular show on the platform. Mel Robbins still holds the second spot, while MeidasTouch and The Martyr Made podcast complete the top five.
