Streamer Amouranth shared insights regarding the continued monitoring of her live streams by authorities in Houston, Texas, following a distressing burglary incident at her residence that left her feeling uneasy.
On March 2nd, three individuals, each armed, forcibly entered Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa’s residence. They physically attacked her with a firearm (pistol-whipping) and demanded access to her $20 million cryptocurrency account.
In a quick-witted move, Amouranth guided them towards another area of her home, where her spouse Nick Lee was already stationed. Swiftly, he was able to fire at one of the intruders, causing them to disperse.
After criticism suggesting she had staged the incident, Amouranth shared video recordings from her security cameras on social media, which were taken in the days following the unexpected assault.
TopMob has secured unique video recordings showing:

Amouranth says Houston police watch her streams
In a chat with Rolling Stone, the streamer shared details of the incident, disclosing that prior to addressing incidents on her Texas property, the Houston Police Department often tuned in to her live broadcasts.
During the interview, Lee mentioned that he dialed the police after successfully driving off potential burglars, yet expressed concern that his report might be dismissed because of the frequent prank calls (known as swatting) targeting their home, which are related to Amouranth’s high internet profile.
Lee expressed to the dispatcher, ‘You need to send help immediately,’ he said. ‘This is a dangerous situation, someone’s being held captive.’ As he spoke, he felt a pang of worry, thinking, ‘I wonder if they’ll take my word for it.’

Due to instances where callers have deceived law enforcement into believing there was an emergency at Amouranth’s location (a practice known as “swatting”), the authorities now routinely monitor her live streams for safety reasons. This precaution has led to Amouranth’s husband advising caution.
The thieves have been apprehended and are now facing accusations for both Aggravated Kidnapping and Armed Robbery, while streamer Amouranth remains hidden away, recuperating following the event.
Streamers like Amouranth aren’t alone in experiencing multiple threats known as “swattings.” Notable broadcasters such as Kai Cenat, IShowSpeed, and xQc have also been targeted by these dangerous incidents. Fortunately, the FBI has vowed to address this issue, a move that has garnered appreciation from content creators.
