Amouranth concerned Twitch controversies could impact retirement plans

As a gamer and avid follower of the streaming scene for over a decade now, I find myself both intrigued and concerned by Amouranth’s recent statements about her career goals and Twitch’s future.

Amouranth, both a streamer and model, has disclosed some insights about her ambitious professional aspirations. However, she acknowledges that the ongoing drama on Twitch might potentially influence her future objectives.

For several years, Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa, a prominent female streamer, continued to thrive even after she opted to join Kick, a platform she had achieved significant success on previously with Twitch.

The model often highlights her diverse entrepreneurial endeavors, leveraging her substantial earnings from streaming and content creation to invest in gas stations, real estate, and numerous additional projects such as brewing her own beer brand.

During a live broadcast on November 5th, while streaming with Destiny and Dancantstream, Siragusa was inquired about her professional aspirations, which include purchasing a ranch and establishing an animal sanctuary with her accumulated wealth.

Destiny was wondering if you had a specific dollar figure in mind, or if the goal is to maximize total earnings instead?

Earlier, Amouranth expressed that she intends to step back from her career when her passive earnings surpass her active earnings, or if her investments grow so substantial that they outshine any active endeavors such as streaming.

As per Amouranth, she hasn’t set a specific monetary goal yet, but her present approach revolves around capitalizing on the opportunities that currently exist.

She mentioned that social media platforms have been quite dynamic recently, and it’s hard to predict what will happen in the digital world over the next five years. When pressed for more details, she referred to the ongoing controversies surrounding Twitch, particularly issues related to advertisers and the fallout from these situations.

In a playful manner, the creator subtly hinted towards Dancantstream, who has been persistently encouraging viewers to communicate with advertisers in an attempt to halt their collaboration with Twitch.

Keep persisting on Twitch! It seems their advertisers are disappearing rapidly. Why not shoot off a few emails this morning? It also copies the media in them. Do it, my friends, I’ve got your back!

Recently, the platform owned by Amazon has been subjected to intense criticism due to some questionable content it hosts. The CEO of this platform, Dan Clancy, has encountered demands from Democratic Representative Ritchie Torres to cease promoting individuals who propagate antisemitism.

Clancy countered by releasing a declaration, emphasizing that there’s no room for anti-Semitism or Islamophobia on Twitch.

It’s clear that Amouranth acknowledges her uncertainty about what lies ahead in terms of content on Twitch. However, she’s not alone in preparing for the possible decline of the platform.

Last month, Rumble’s CEO Chris Pavlovski predicted Twitch will be shut down or sold-off within two years.
