Despite a decrease in its initial fanbase, Among Us remains one of the most prominent party-cooperative game franchises. In an effort to capitalize on the game’s popularity, developers at InnerSloth have introduced Among Us VR, which is slated for an update to Among Us 3D. This change will enable PC gamers to enjoy the game without needing Virtual Reality equipment. With the release date approaching quickly, many players are curious about whether console users, such as those on Xbox, PS4, PS5, or Switch, will also have a chance to play this game on their devices.
Regrettably, as of now, we don’t have the answer. On their FAQ page, there’s no mention at all about potential console ports. The only clue we’ve got is that Among Us VR exists for PlayStation VR2, but it doesn’t necessarily imply that AU3D will work on the console without the VR headset.
If the game performs well on Steam, it’s likely that the creators will develop and release versions for Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo Switch in the future.
