American Horror Story 13 Is Really AHS: Coven, Part 3

In a memorable line from American Horror Story: Coven, Madison Montgomery quipped, “I bet you thought you’d seen the last of me.” Now, it seems that sentiment applies to the series itself! FX has announced that season 13 will return to New Orleans, and according to an Instagram post, they’ve even completely rebuilt the Robichaux Academy. The season is being teased with the tagline, “The Supreme Rises.”

Ryan Murphy is revisiting the witch storyline for the third time. A significant portion of American Horror Story: Apocalypse focused on Cordelia Goode battling a group of male witches led by Michael Langdon, the Antichrist. Although Cordelia seemingly died during that season, she was brought back through time travel. The story still suggested her death was imminent, as Billie Lourd’s character, Mallory, was positioned to become the next Supreme witch.

Season 13 of American Horror Story welcomes back Jessica Lange, sparking speculation about whether she’ll reprise her role as Fiona Goode, or play a brand new character reminiscent of Constance Langdon. Alongside Lange and Sarah Paulson, familiar faces from the American Horror Story universe – Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, and Ariana Grande – will also return. This marks Grande’s first project with Ryan Murphy since Scream Queens, leading fans to hope for a revival of that series.
