Amazon to Develop Elsie Silver’s ‘Rose Hill’ Books as TV Series (EXCLUSIVE)

It’s been exclusive news that the “Rose Hill” book series by Elsie Silver is currently under development for a TV show at Amazon MGM Studios.

At present, there are three books in the “Rose Hill” series: “Wild Love,” “Wild Eyes,” and “Wild Side.” Another book, titled “Wild Card,” is scheduled for release in September of this year. As of now, no author has been assigned to develop a TV adaptation for it.

On the show, Silver will be joined by Executive Producers Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, James Seidman from Temple Hill. Annika Patton of Temple Hill will also serve as a Producer.

The official logline for “Rose Hill” states:

Greetings to Rose Hill, a quaint town hidden among the majestic Rocky Mountains. With its pristine lakes, famous honky-tonks, and expansive skies, it’s a place that sparks creativity, transformation, and love. This captivating drama, filled with warmth, passion, and heart, shows us that love can be the most complicated when it’s genuine, and family isn’t always about blood relations; sometimes, it’s the bond you create.”

Or, in a more conversational tone:

“Hey there! Welcome to Rose Hill, a cozy little town nestled among the stunning Rockies. It’s got crystal-clear lakes, iconic honky-tonks, and skies that stretch on forever—perfect for sparking creativity, change, and love. This drama is warm, passionate, and full of heart. It shows us that real love can be a mess, and family isn’t just about blood; it’s the connections you make.

Beyond the Rose Hill series, Silver has also penned down five Chestnut Springs books and two Gold Rush Ranch novels as well.

In recent years, Amazon has experienced significant success with TV shows adapted from popular book series. Among their current hits are “Reacher,” based on Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novels, “Cross” inspired by James Patterson’s Alex Cross books, and the youth drama “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” which is based on Jenny Han’s trilogy of the same name. The streaming division of this tech giant is also working on a TV adaptation of Rebecca Yarros’ Empyrean series, starting with “Fourth Wing,” along with several other projects.
