As a seasoned critic with a penchant for uncovering hidden gems, I find myself intrigued by the new cast additions to the upcoming Amazon series “Obsession.” With a background that spans from Apple TV+ to Peacock and even the big screen, Kingston Rumi Southwick brings a versatile touch that could breathe life into an already captivating plot.
The TV show on Amazon inspired by Catherine Ryan Howard’s hit novel “56 Days” has brought in four new actors to join the production, according to exclusive information obtained by EbMaster.
The individuals Kingston Rumi Southwick, Ella Victoria, Megan Peta Hill, and Alfredo Narcisco have recently been added to the cast of the show, which has been renamed “Obsession.” Although specific character information is being withheld, Hill and Narciso will appear in multiple episodes as recurring guest stars, while Victoria and Southwick will make single appearances.
In addition to the already announced principal actors Dove Cameron, Avan Jogia, Dorian Missick, and Karla Souza, more actors will also join – Kira Guloien, Celeste Oliva, Jesse James Keitel, Matt Murray, and Patch Darragh in recurring roles.
The movie titled “Obsession” tells the story of Oliver (Jogia) and Ciara (Cameron), who meet by chance in a supermarket and quickly develop an intense, potentially harmful affection for each other. Exactly 56 days after their encounter, detectives show up at Oliver’s residence to discover a corpse – one that has been deliberately decayed and appears to have met a violent end. Did he kill her? Or did she kill him? The mystery remains unsolved.
This will mark Victoria’s series acting debut. She is repped by Paradigm.
Southwick was last seen in the widely-watched Apple TV+ show “Presumed Innocent”. Coming soon, he will be featured in Season 2 of the Peacock series “Based on a True Story”, and has also joined the cast of the horror movie “Henry’s Ebb”. He is currently represented by Buchwald and Paul Hastings.
Previously, Hill has graced our screens on series such as “Riverdale,” “The Flash,” “Kung Fu,” and “Big Sky.” Currently, she is managed by The Characters and Allagash Entertainment.
More recently, Narcisco has been featured in series such as “Star Trek: Discovery” and “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” the latter being an original production on Amazon. His additional roles can be seen in “Manifest,” “New Amsterdam,” and “Person of Interest.” He is represented by Harden Curtis Kirsten Riley Agency and Robert Stein Management. (Paraphrased)
