Alyssa Milano to Join Kumail Nanjiani, Molly Shannon and Sam Nivola in Bobby Farrelly Comedy ‘Driver’s Ed’

Actress Alyssa Milano is planning to become part of the humorous production titled “Driver’s Ed,” helmed by director Bobby Farrelly, who gained fame through movies like “There’s Something About Mary,” “Dumb and Dumber,” and “Champions.

The movie being filmed in North Carolina revolves around a gang of teenagers stealing the driving instruction vehicle from their school, with the aim of helping an older high school student locate his college-freshman girlfriend and rekindle their relationship.

As a film enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that this movie features Kumail Nanjiani, known for his roles in “The Big Sick” and “Life as We Know It,” Molly Shannon, who has graced our screens with performances on “Saturday Night Live” and “Only Murders in the Building,” Sam Nivola, a familiar face from “The White Lotus” Season 3 and “The Perfect Couple,” Sophie Telegadis from “One Stupid Thing,” Mohana Krishnan from “It Lives Inside,” Aidan Laprete, who’s been in shows like “The Wilds” and “Hawaii 5-0,” and Lilah Pate, recognized for her work on “Outer Banks” and “The Summer I Turned Pretty.

The movie “Driver’s Ed” was created from a unique story concept by Thomas Moffett, who is also known for his work in “Shrink” and “An Actor Prepares”.

Milano is set to work with the Farrelly brothers for the third time. Their first collaboration was on the film “Hall Pass”, followed by the Quibi/Roku series “The Now”. Meanwhile, Milano’s brother, Peter Farrelly, has agreed to direct a pilot that Milano wrote for a TV series adaptation of the book “Things I’m Seeing Without You” by Peter Bognanni.

Upcoming, Milano will once again play the character of New York restaurant owner Pupetta Del Ponte in the CBS series “Elsbeth”, and she has recently completed a guest appearance on “Gringo Hunters” for Netflix.

I take great pride in being associated with the renowned city that’s given us some unforgettable television shows and movies. From “Who’s the Boss” and “Charmed,” to “Melrose Place,” “Mistresses,” and even “Insatiable,” it’s truly awe-inspiring to see how Milano’s influence has shaped the small screen for decades. Add to that her impressive filmography, spanning over 25 movies, and you’ve got an actress who’s left an indelible mark on Hollywood. And just recently, my city can boast of Netflix’s “Brazen,” which garnered a staggering 94 million viewing hours in its first month alone!

Every week, she hosts the podcast “Sorry Not Sorry,” where she delves into social, political, and cultural matters through candid conversations with guests. Simultaneously, she shines a light on the efforts of local activists. To top it off, she’s a New York Times bestselling author, and most recently, she made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in the production “Chicago.
