As a long-time player of Aloft, I can relate to the frustration of discovering precious animals on corrupted islands and having no straightforward way to return them to their rightful homes. This issue has tested my creativity and resourcefulness, leading me to come up with some rather unconventional solutions. But finally, the developer has heard our cries for help and announced that they’re addressing this concern with a new feature for the Ecosystem Restoration mechanic. I, for one, am thrilled about this upcoming improvement and can’t wait to see how it streamlines my gameplay experience.
Animals on the move will become more responsive when the ecosystem of the island is revived. It’s not clear if players need to pet or feed them first for this interaction to occur, but once it does, relocating animals will be simpler than constructing platforms between islands or utilizing an Airship to transport them to the desired location.
On the secluded sky islands, an innovative plant type is set to debut for adventurous players. These elusive Dream Herbs can be discovered on smaller contaminated islands. Though the creator has yet to reveal whether this herb can be harvested with a Stone Sickle or by handpicking, it’s clear that it plays a significant role in crafting a novel consumable. This consumable, once ingested by your in-game persona, will enable lucid dreaming and the power to manage progression within the game. To facilitate this unique experience, a new game mechanic called the Dream system will be implemented.
In conclusion, the creator intends to unveil “massive wilted tree species called Life Trees” in Aloft’s realm. These trees have been affected by the corruption and will regain life once players rejuvenate them. Subsequently, a concealed route to extra rewards will be disclosed.
When you bring back Life Trees in a biome using the Ecosystem Restoration feature, amazing things happen! The area around the tree becomes more productive, with better weather and the return of ancient crops. Plus, you can collect various resources directly from the tree, such as Life Fruits. These fruits come in handy when raising animals and have unique abilities tied to the Stormchaser system.
