Over the recent series of episodes, a minor inquiry about a small double coin has expanded into an intricate web linking several individuals to the 1907 Great Train Robbery. Remarkably, Melissa Gilbert from Little House on the Prairie joined the team, taking up the role as a forensic expert, aiming to extract information from an individual known as Sonny Garrison.

In the highly addictive TV series, it’s the Garrison group who have unexpectedly become the central antagonists. Interestingly, they haven’t made a formal appearance yet, but we know that a man named Toddy Davis has been handling their ill-gotten coins, and there appears to be some link between Edie’s deceased uncle, Ernie, as well.

In Episode 8, we observed him earlier as he watched the duo deliberate about the Cattlemens Association meeting at the saloon, scrutinizing a map intently, presumably seeking a novel resolution.

In a fresh scene, I find myself saying, “It seems you both are well-versed in the local woods,” addressing Allie and Oliver. They graciously propose leading me through Hope Valley as a token of their knowledge. Later, when Elizabeth searches for Allie, Molly informs her she noticed Allie conversing with one of Mike’s patrons.

In the ensuing scenes, our unidentified character escorts the children to a remote area within the woods, where they encounter Sonny. Upon recognizing him, Oliver remarks, “Sonny Garrison, I see your likeness on those wanted notices.” To this, Sonny replies, “You’re sharp.” As Elizabeth, Nathan, Billy, and other Hope Valley residents converge, Bill discovers Allie’s bow hanging from a tree limb.

In 1921, Sonny’s reward stands at a substantial sum of $100. It’s likely that Allie and Oliver are being manipulated to lure other gang members towards Sonny, who they could capture for this significant bounty.
