
A sushi restaurant in Spain is getting a lot of attention online because it charges customers a fee if they waste food – specifically, if they vomit from overeating.
Sushi Toro is a highly-rated (4.7 stars on Google) all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant in Gelves, Spain, known for its reasonable prices.
This popular all-you-can-eat restaurant is so well-loved by both tourists and residents that some customers have gotten sick from overeating the fish.

Sushi restaurant charges cleaning fee after customers eat too much
Apparently, Sushi Toro has had several customers become sick from overeating and vomit, so they’re now taking strong steps to prevent it from happening again.
The restaurant now charges a fee if a customer vomits. They posted a sign on the front door, written in capital letters, to warn customers about this new policy.
I just saw this sign at a restaurant and I couldn’t believe it! Apparently, if you eat too much and get sick, they’ll charge you a cleaning fee. Seriously! They actually put that in writing – ‘Thank you,’ they added, which just feels…odd.
Sushi Toro explained on Facebook that a number of customers have gotten sick from eating too much, even to the point of vomiting.

According to a recent statement, the establishment has been dealing with instances of vomit on tables and in restrooms, and is now implementing a cleaning fee for each occurrence to cover the extra cleaning required.

Sushi Toro is an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant with prices ranging from €16.90 to €23.90 (about $19.84 to $28.06). They recently posted a viral message on social media saying they’ve had enough of people taking advantage of their affordable prices.
